FOXO4 DRI is a peptide antagonist designed to interfere with the interaction between FOXO4 and p53. Disrupting the p53-FOXO4 interaction leads to the exclusion of p53 from the nucleus and its targeting to the mitochondria to induce apoptosis of senescent cells, ultimately eliminating senescent fibroblasts through the triggering of apoptosis.

Anti aging study: In naturally aging mouse models, FOXO4 DRI can clear senescent cells, improve the testicular microenvironment, alleviate age-related testosterone deficiency, and enhance sperm quality.

Treating pulmonary fibrosis: In bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis mouse models, FOXO4-DRI alleviated lung pathological changes and collagen deposition by clearing senescent cells, showing potential for treating pulmonary fibrosis.
