Acetyl hexapeptide-39 is a short synthetic peptide composed of six amino acids, which is acetylated to enhance stability and transdermal absorption. It intervenes in the formation and differentiation of adipocytes by inhibiting the expression of PGC-1α. PGC-1α is a key factor regulating mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty acid oxidation, and its expression level is closely related to fat accumulation.
Studies show that this ingredient can downregulate PGC-1α, reduce the expression of adipocyte differentiation markers ,thereby inhibiting fat formation and promoting the breakdown of existing fat.
