PDRN Polydeoxyribonucleotide

PDRN, known as Polydeoxyribonudeotide  is an active polynucleotide polymer composed of multiple deoxyribonucleotides connected by phosphodiester bonds with a length of 50–2000 bp and a molecular weight range of 50–1500 kDa. This ingredient can be extracted and purified from sources including human placenta, red algae, ginseng as well as sperm cells of salmonids (rainbow trout) or salmon.

Due to cost effectiveness and the complexity of the extraction process, PDRN Polydeoxyribonucleotide extracted from fish reproductive cells has become the main source.

PDRN Polydeoxyribonucleotide  binds to the adenosine A2A receptor, activating multiple signaling pathways to increase anti-inflammatory factors, reduce inflammatory factors, and inhibit the inflammatory response.

It promotes fibroblast proliferation and the secretion of EGF, FGF, and IGF, remodeling the microenvironment of damaged skin.

It stimulates VEGF production to generate capillaries, supplying nutrients for skin repair and removing aged substances.

Through salvage pathways, PDRN Polydeoxyribonucleotide  provides purines or pyrimidines, accelerating DNA synthesis and enabling rapid skin regeneration.

PDRN Polydeoxyribonudeotide can be used in various formulations for anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, acne treatment, and repair purposes, such as gels, serums, lotions and facial masks.

Common concentrations for different formulations:

Serum: 0.1%–0.5% (mainly for repair/anti-aging).

Mask: 0.05%–0.3% (quick soothing).

Cream or Lotion: 0.05%–0.2% (daily repair).

Ampoule: 0.3%–0.5% (high activity, strong repair).

Compatibility Recommendations

Synergistic: Hyaluronic acid, ceramides, panthenol (strengthen barrier).

Anti-aging: Peptides, retinol (alternate use to reduce irritation).

Brightening: Vitamin C (recommended to use Vitamin C in the morning and PDRN at night, avoid stacking in the same bottle).
