Ziconotideis a non-narcotic pain reliever that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain.

Ziconotide Description:

Ziconotide, trade name Prialt, is a peptide toxin compound containing 25 amino acids and three disulfide bonds extracted from the South Pacific sea snail Conusmagus. It is the first new type of neurotherapeutic drug-N-type calcium can selectively act on N-type electrosensitive chemical calcium channels in dendrites and terminal branches of axons, thereby inhibiting the replacement of the initial noxious stimulation.

It is suitable for patients with severe chronic pain who need intrathecal therapy and who are intolerant or poorly cured of other analgesic treatments (such as systemic analgesics or intrathecal injection of morp hine, etc.).
