Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, also known as Pal-GHK, is one of the key active ingredients in premium lip care products. Thanks to its gentle, non-irritating, and highly permeable properties, it has become a vital component in anti-aging, plumping, and repair-focused lip products.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 Mechanism of Action
Pal-GHK is a classic matrikine signal peptide, composed of a glycine-histidine-lysine (GHK) sequence conjugated with palmitic acid. The palmitic acid chain gives it excellent fat solubility, allowing it to easily penetrate the lipid barrier of the lip surface and reach the dermis to achieve the following effects:

Stimulates New Collagen Production: Precisely activates the TGF-β growth factor signaling pathway, awakens fibroblasts, and strongly promotes the synthesis of type I and III collagen and elastin, thickening the lip dermis from the root.

Promotes Hyaluronic Acid and GAGs Formation: Stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and hyaluronic acid in the dermis, significantly boosting lip hydration and improving dryness and roughness.

Inhibits Collagen Degradation: Reduces the overexpression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), minimizing the loss of native collagen and elastin.

Anti-Inflammatory and UV Damage Repair: Has anti-inflammatory properties and can repair collagen damage caused by UV exposure, reducing signs of photoaging.
